Based on a true story.

Less than four weeks to go and it's all coming together. Many mornings in Cloud City Cafe in Leadville looking at maps, guides books and websites have given us a good idea of the route to take but we are wondering if two months will be enough. If it all goes well we may have to ride back in the spring. Had the first round of shots, Hep A and tetanus/dip, off to Denver in a few days to get Yellow fever and Typhoid, ouch!

Fitted crash bars to the bike along with a headlight guard, picked up a tankbag, changed the fuel filter, will carry a spare for after. Changed oils, plugs etc. Just one small adjustment to the Jesse luggage and it will be good to go. Spanish lessons are not coming along as planned so it looks like the full immersion technique will have to do. Many Spanish schools along the way so may pull up for a while in one spot to get the hang of it. Luckily every country we will pass through has it's own nuances when it comes to dialect so we should be very confused by the time we get to Chile.

The season is winding down in Colorado and already colours are changing, it's been great a summer and we are thinking about returning next year.
